Scrubbing Bubbles, Garnier, and Axe at Target

Tonight I went to Target to look for some light bulbs, etc to get prepared to redesign my kids' rooms this weekend.  Somehow, I stumbled into some other awesome deals too!  I hope you are able to find these too!

image

Scrubbing Bubbles power sprayer starter kits are 6.99.  The blue bottle is on clearance for 5.94.  There is a $5 off Q in the    1/9 SS.  Match that with the .50 off any scrubbing bubbles TARGET COUPON and you have a huge bottle of shower cleaner for .44!  I mean really, from $7 to .44...how is that not awesome!

image

Also, if you have the 12/5 inserts still, there is a $2 Q for Garnier.  Match that with the $2 TARGET COUPON and you can buy the Nutri-pure face cloths for .04.  They are on price cut at my store for 4.04.  (you'll find them in the aisle with the face soaps and cleansers).

image

And the Axe gift packs (two body washes and a scrub for men) are on clearance for 4.50.  I didn't have a Q, not sure that there is one, but will probably still pick some up.

Bi-Lo: cheap cereal, hummus Q, and free pasta

image image image

I'm going to try this deal at Bi-Lo for some cheap cereal...

check out the Kellogg's Qs at their website.  I found .70 Qs for Raisin Bran, Fiber Plus, and cinnamon corn flakes.  Charlotte area Bi-Los double up to .99.  So I'm hoping to buy 4 at 2.50 each, minus 1.40 Q each box.  You'll pay 4.40 for 4 boxes and get .15 Fuel perks (buy 4 for each transaction but you can repeat that in another purchase).  There are a ton of recent Qs for a lot of these products, so these options are many!

BUY 4 PARTICIPATING PRODUCTS, GET .15 Fuel Perks
Offer valid January 12-18, 2011 w/ your BONUSCARD®.
2/$5 - Kellogg’s Special K Oats & Honey Cereal, Special K Raspberry Cheesecake Bars or Special K Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars, 5-6 Count Assorted Varieties
2/$5 - Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes with Fiber or Frosted Mini Mixed Berry
2/$5 - Kellogg’s Raisin Bran Extra Cereal, 15 oz.
2/$5 - Special K Chips, 4 oz. Assorted Varieties
2/$5 - Kellogg’s Cinnamon Corn Flakes, Smorz or Eggo Maple Cereal, Select Sizes
2/$5 - Keebler 100 Calorie Right Bite Fudge Dipped Sandies, 4.4 oz. Assorted Varieties
2/$5 - Kellogg’s Fiber Plus Cereals or Fiber Plus Caramel Coconut Fudge Bars

2/$5 - Cheez-It Baby Swiss, 13.7 oz
2/$5 - Keebler Fudge Shoppe Jumbo Sticks or Oatmeal Fudge Stripe Cookies, 6.6-11.5 oz. Select Varieties

image

PLUS, there is a REBATE for Fiber Plus to try it free!  The wording on the rebate says one rebate PER FLAVOR!!!  So I bought 2 simply cinnamon, 2 Fiber Plus (one of each flavor), paid 4.40 after Qs, got .15 fuel perks, and will get $5 rebate :)

image

You can also like Tribe Hummus on their FACEBOOK PAGE, answer a few quick sweepstakes questions, and have a PDF Q for $2 off any flavor.  This is on price lock at Bi-Lo for $2, but when I went today I realized that the origins was not on sale.  Bummer!  But, hang on to the Q, it might go on sale at some point!

image

And of course it is worth reminding you to print your coupons from MUELLER'S WEBSITE to get free pasta through January (at least) at Bi-Lo.  Pasta goes on sale for $1 quite often at Bi-Lo and HT (sale is on currently there too), so you can frequently score some free pasta to donate! At Harris Teeter you will be limited to 2 per transaction b/c it is an IP coupons.  At Bi-Lo, I've never had issues buying a reasonable amount at once.

Donations for the week of 1/12 - 1/18

Well, I guess anytime you  follow freebies from Super Doubles or Triples, it's hard to get very excited about the new week's list b/c it looks so puny in comparison.  Still, each item helps to build into a bag of donations.  So here are some ways to help this week.  This list is a combo of cheap items that you can use towards your own pantry or to donate to a community pantry.

Give cancer patients a little "Boost"

image

Here is a great way to use our coupons in a way to help others.  This post at Passion for Savings gives some more info about a woman who is collecting extra Boost and Ensure coupons to donate to her local Cancer Support Home who can use these drinks for cancer patients. Her mother recently died of Brain Cancer and this is one way she’s working to to support those still battling the disease.  I know my Boost Qs would have normally ended up in the recycling box, so instead they are now being mailed to her.  I won't even miss the stamp!

Boost Coupons
1125 S. 3rd #14
Paris, AR 72855

Here are the coupons that will help her out:

$3/1 Boost Nutritional Drink or Powder, exp. 2-13-11 (SS 01/02/11)
$3/1 Ensure Product, exp. 3-6-11 (SS 01/09/11 #2) (I looked all through the Observer's inserts but didn't see this one.  Let me know if you find it)
$3/1 Ensure Product printable
$3/1 Boost printable

We can all make a difference even if we feel it is a small gesture, the impact can be very meaningful.

Free vitamins at Target!

UPDATE--I read that this Q is now gone :(  I hope you had the chance to print it!

Another day of icy roads, another day to just collect coupons instead of actually use them!

image

Target has the Nature made fish oil vitamins on sale for $5.  You'll want to print this quickly before it disappears!  There is a new printable for $5 off making them free!  Use zip 93035.  I guess I should be thankful that the ice storm gave me time to wait for the $5off Q instead of using the $2Q I mentioned earlier :)

This week at Target...Scrubbing Bubbles, Special K, Kashi, floss, and more...

image image

I managed to make it out today (Wednesday), the ice is finally melting!  I have posted some updates based on prices in my store...

The snow day has been good for me to be able to search for good deals.  Unfortunately, I can't get out to the stores to take advantage of them yet!  Here are some ideas for your next trip out to Target...

~hot cocoa goldfish (in the aisle with all the other flavors) is supposedly ringing up at .21   I'm interested to see if we can find these in Charlotte!  didn't see these :(

~Reach floss .97   Use the $1Q to make it free (also free at HT with SD but likely out of stock!)
-$1 off Reach floss printable, RP 10/10, RP 1/2, have also seen on coupons.com  these are .97 everyday, so a good idea to keep in mind when you see these Qs pop up on coupons.com, etc   Always a good extra to donate.

~Nature made fish oil vitamins (just a good deal that I personally need, so wanted to throw it out there in case) $5
-$2Q SS 1/2 = $3

~Scrubbing Bubbles fresh brush starter kit and toilet cleaning gel (gel is 2.50)
-Free fresh brush starter kit WYB toilet clean gel 1/9 SS
-.50
 TQ
(scrubbing bubbles cleaning item)
2.50 + price of fresh brush - FREE Q - (2) .50 TQ = 1.50 for gel and brush
the gel was $4, so I'm hanging on to the Qs.

~Special K (see previous post) can get boxes for .60-.75 each!
Not all varieties are ringing up at 2.50 even though they were marked on the end aisle.  My cashier adjusted the price for me.

~crunch n clean cat treats on price cut for 1.49
-1.50 1/9SS = FREE

~Kashi cereal deal (Thanks to My Frugal Adventures for the scenario idea)

1. Sign up at Recycle Bank.  When you do, register without activating your account.  This should credit your account with 25 points.

2.  Go into your account and you will see a link to join the conversation about reusing — through Ebay. Click this link and follow the prompts to get a quick 50 points in your account

3.  You can also add another 30 points when you take the MillerCoors sustainability quiz here.

4. You can also add 30 points through a juice quiz

With 90 points you can cash in to get a $3 off Kashi Cereal printable coupon. (I've read this is a bricks Q so  you can back space and print two)

Once you get the coupons try this:

Buy 2 boxes of Kashi for $2.99
Use (2) $3/1 coupons from Recyclebank (you can stop here and just get 2 boxes free.  Or you can get a 3rd box for $.47)
Use $1.50/3
Target coupon
and Use $1/1 Kashi printable coupon
Your final price is .47 for all 3 boxes

I don’t know how long that printable coupon will last on Recyclebank so you may want to do this sooner rather than later.

Some have found peelies on the boxes of cereal for $3 off fresh fruit when you buy 3 Kashi, so you might keep an eye out for those.

It's a SPECIAL time at Target!

Thank you to Totally Target for posting that the Special K coupon has reset.  I also didn't realize that the price cut was good through 1/22 at Target, so I'm very excited to score some more cheap Special K cereal.  Who knew a 5 year old could be so picky about "corn flakes"--he loves this brand!  Anyone who knows me knows that I will not pay $3.xx for his "corn flakes" though :)  So I am stocking up!  For the scenario below you will probably need another computer to print some extra Qs or you can ask a friend to share.  As always, your experience with stock, prices, and available Qs may differ, but here is an idea of a best-case scenario...

image

Special K cereal is on sale through 1/22 for 2.50 each.
~Buy 6 boxes of cereal
~Use three BIGI Qs that are printing from the Special K website.  (You can print two by hitting the back key, but will need another computer/account for the third)
~Use 1 MQ for $1/3 from 1/2 RP (this Q attaches to the 3 you buy, the BIGI Qs attach to the three free boxes)
~Use three Target coupons for $1/2 (you can pair a TQ and MQ for the same item)
I would give the Qs in the order of the BIGI, $1/3 MQ, TQs

So the math looks like this:
Buy 6 boxes of cereal at 15.00-7.50 (BIGI Qs) -$1 (MQ) - $3 (3 TQs) = 3.50 for 6 boxes or just under .60 a box!  Enjoy your cereal!   There is also a TQ for $1/3 special K, so if you can't round up three $1/2 then it would be .75 a box...still great! You can play around with the math if you need to buy fewer boxes b/c you have fewer Qs (you could buy 4, uses 2 BIGI and 2 TQ for .75 each, for example)

Dry winter skin? Aveeno is to the rescue!

image

In my house we go through Aveeno about as quickly as we do milk.  Eczema has made Aveeno lotions and washes and oatmeal baths our best friend!  So I am super excited about this rebate deal...

Buy three products IN ONE TRANSACTION from the following brands: Ambi, Aveeno, Clean and Clear, Lubriderm, Purpose, Roc between 1/7/11-1/31/11.  Submit the original receipt and the rebate form.  They will mail you a coupon for a free full size Aveeno lotion.

Check out all the details and get the rebate form, along with many Qs at this website.  There are also the coupons in today's inserts.

image

There might be tons of deals out there, and I am a big fan of buying what you need and use instead of just buying anything to get the deal.  The deal I took advantage of is buying three 6oz Lubriderm lotions at HT.  They are 3.99 minus the 1.50 Q (which doubles through Tues).  So I paid $3 total for three smaller bottles of lotion (they are a good size to keep in the car) and will get a full size Aveeno for free!  I'd love to hear if you find other deals too!

Friday, January 7, 2011

Here's an example of what your receipt could look like!

Curious what an actual trip looks like?  Here's an example from today.  I don't know who was more excited about my savings today, me or my 5 year old!  To see the exact locations for the coupons used, look a tthe HT list in a previous post.

(2) Success Jasmine Rice boil in bag (cooking right now!) on sale for 1.50 each...(2) $1 Qs from All You magazine=Free

(4) Ziploc container packages on sale BIGI making them 1.75 each...(2) 1.50/2 Qs (printables and inserts) = .25 each package

(2) XXL Ziploc bags (the kind used for storage in the closet/garage) on a crazy price for 1.94 each instead of 6.55 each...(2) $1Qs = Free   (these Qs were in the 1/2/11 insert)

(2) Kikkoman soy sauce and (1) terryaki on sale for $2 each...(3) $1 IP = Free

(2) Yakisobi noodles (like Ramen)....50 insert Q = Free

(1) Biltmore salad dressing (marinating tonight's chicken) on sale BIGI for $2 ...$1 insert Q = Free

(3) packages of chicken on sale B1G2.  The way it rings up when you buy 3, each one rings up at 1/3 the price.  So roughly 6 pounds of chicken for 9.36

Donating:
(2) Mueller's pasta on sale for 1.00...(2) .55 Q = Free

(1) Kikkoman terryaki on sale for $2 ... $1 IP = Free

(1) Biltmore salad dressing on sale BIGI for $2 ...$1 insert Q = Free

So overall I paid $11.43 total and saved $72.40!  I am super excited about the chicken prices!!!  4 items doesn't feel like much to donate from one trip, but if you add together 4 here, 6 there, 5 from another trip...you get the point.  It all adds up!  So I hope this helps to show an example of a trip.  (FYI-Park Rd Shopping Center still had good stock) Enjoy your bargain hunting!

Soup and Pasta, anyone?

image image

Okay, so I'm just getting warmed up with this week of donations!  I love it when my dining room cabinet top gets full of bags of food donations!  It means I'm doing something right with my time!  Today I was able to buy 8 cans of hearty soup and 14 boxes of pasta (22 items).  Instead of paying $39 regular price, I forked over a whopping .96.  Yes, you read that correctly.  For the price of a drink from the vending machine, we were able to supply 22 boxes/cans of food.  (A little disclaimer-that doesn't count tax b/c my other grocery purchases-like carrots, toilet paper, cookies- were wrapped up in the same bill.  Overall today I only paid $28 plus $3 tax for $93 worth of groceries. )

So what are you waiting for?  Start clipping! :)

Bi-Lo 1/5/11-1/11/11

Here are some deals at Bi-Lo this week.  I've added a few that jumped out at me as bargain prices for the product, even though they are over $1.  Happy clipping!

Swiss Miss high value Q

image

There is a $2Q for swiss miss hot cocoa which will certainly make it free or cheap anywhere!  Remember when you have bricks Qs or Qs like this, you can print one, turn your paper around to use the other end, hit back and print a second Q.  It has been my experience that stores will not accept a Q that has an original face value higher than the price.  You can get this at HT for regular price of 2.15 ( so .15 with the Q), but it won't work on the 1.25 sale this week.  I just read this will be on sale for 2.00 at Bi-Lo this week, so free :) Now if we can get more snow this will be perfect :)

Harris Teeter 1/5/11-1/11/11...Who's ready for some cheap groceries?

UPDATE:  A few more deals to look for...

Check out the post about the Aveeno rebate when buying 3 products!
You may find peelies on propel single bottles for $1/2.  That makes them .25 each!
Look on gatorade single bottles for a $1 hangtag, making them free.
Check out 7th Generation's website for $1Q to make the dish soap free.
The Kikkoman website has $1 Qs for soy sauce and teriyaki sauce making them free.
Look inside the ziploc boxes...more 1.50/2 Qs good for a LONG time, so if you don't use them all now you can keep them for the next SD sale.

On this list I am going to include the cheap/free items, and a few that are just super good bargains.  Remember to check out Southern Savers for a complete list for your grocery list.  Remember that HT will double up to 20 coupons per day.  For each transaction they will accept 2 like internet printables (IP) per product and 3 like newspaper Qs.  Most stores will only allow you to use one Q on BIGI deals (even though they ring up at half price), so on those I buy one and use one Q per transaction.  Always double check your coupon value and the price on your shelf...sometimes this list is off  a little from your reality. Please post a comment if you have any questions!  ENJOY!

Bueller, Bueller....

Okay, so I've taken a little unannounced break from the blog.  Sorry!  But I return with a renewed vision about the difference we can make.  As I was "buying" pasta yesterday, I had a great conversation with my 5 year old about how it is important that we always help others with the resources we have.  And when we can increase the volume of our resources through coupons then we can make an incredible impact!  My hope for the new year is that word of the couponing lifestyle spreads and others find ways to not only improve their family spending habits, but take the opportunity to share the deals with those truly in need a little help.

For more information on how to incorporate coupons into your shopping, Jenny's website www.southernsavers.com is full of information.  I don't believe in "going all out" and driving around town for every deal.  But if  you are thoughtful about purchases and organized with your deals, you won't need to!

So I am back (and just in time for Super Doubles!)  I hope you will join me in these adventures in 2011!  Here's a coupon to get you started...Mueller's has a .55 Q on their website (http://www.muellerspasta.com/coupons/list).  Various types of pasta go on sale regularly at both Bi-Lo and Harris Teeter, so when the Q doubles the pasta is entirely free.  You will be able to use two at HT in each purchase, but at Bi-Lo you can buy a reasonable amount in each transaction.  This Q is a PDF and is good for a month from when you print it.  Some of the smaller boxes are under 1.10 regular price, so it will be free even without a sale!  So enjoy a free pasta dinner!  Even more than that, enjoy sharing some free pasta with others!
